Your ‘day to day’

As a Legal counsel, you will provide the Organization with legal advice and support in all business activities in Latvia, Lithuania (including factory) and Estonia. You will work with inspiring business teams to create proactive strategies designed to avoid or minimize exposure to legal liability, ensuring business continuity, help business colleagues to understand the risks and consequences of the given situation. Effectively communicate the consequences and propose alternatives to manage identified risks. Your expertise may be tested in the various areas of law – Contracts, Labour law, Data protection, Consumers rights, Product Safety, Competition, Environmental law, Corporate governance and Administrative Law, just to name a few. Specific responsibilities will be assigned based on the present skill set and aspirations for development. You will be expected to efficiently gather and distil relevant information from appropriate sources, identify, analyze and resolve legal issues independently and reasonably assess, when to escalate them. You will be exposed to truly international environment and be providing your support in English language daily.

You will also:

• Cooperate with international teams providing legal assessments for new products or programs;
• Identify a need, prepare and execute relevant trainings for business colleagues in the Baltic countries to ensure better understanding and management of compliance;
• Draft different documents, responses and contracts, present clear recommendations and ensures legal compliance as it relates to the noted areas of law;
• Closely work with different teams across the Baltic countries to review communication and commercial materials;
• Negotiate and cooperate with your stakeholders, business partners or institutions
• Enjoy looking for legally justified and business oriented solutions.

Who we’re looking for:

• A university degree in Law with strong academic credentials
• At least 5 years of concentrated experience which demonstrate an in-depth knowledge and applied understanding of area of expertise; both in house and major law firm experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple, conflicting priorities while managing a substantial workload and client expectations, with strong solution orientation and a sense of humour.
• Experience of working successfully in a highly results-oriented and performance-driven environment with a focus on excellence.
• Ability to maintain an appropriate perspective regardless of the ambiguity, delicacy, or pressure of a situation.
• Robust interpersonal, networking, public speaking, and writing skills, with the confidence and credibility to act quickly, communicate effectively with diplomacy and civility, and command respect of both internal and external audiences.
• Proven ability to think strategically and exercise sound judgment.
• Ability to perform on projects and see them to successful completion in an organized, efficient, and effective manner.
• Ability to work with different business streams and stakeholders to achieve consensus.
• English and Lithuanian proficiency

Salary range for this role is 6,030 EUR to 7,538 EUR gross. The final offer will depend on the experience and competencies of the selected candidate.
