What you’ll do

• Design and evolve the integrated architecture of the Infrastructure products used for eRetailing.
• Lead and mentor the operations team in charge of maintaining the Infrastructure used in eRetailing.
• Define the processes required to ensure proper operability and scalability of all the operations related to the Infrastructure products used in eRetailing.
• Work closely with development teams and suppliers to secure that the value planned will be delivered in the most optimal way according to the product strategy and the overall value for money objectives linked to the IS/IT strategy.
• Manage and own corporate processes related to the infrastructure of the products to ensure compliance and quality.
• Research new technologies to optimize the current solutions and to make them sustainable for the future, applying in-house standards and market best practices
Utilize your deep understanding of software and solution design principles.
• Identify the organizational impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures or culture) and financial impact of the solution architecture.
• Engage with Tech Leads, BAs, Product Managers and Enterprise Architects within (and across) the product groups to ensure alignment with the overall enterprise architecture.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
Microsoft Azure Cloud and Amazon Web Services.
• Microservices architecture with strong emphasis on containerization (docker, containers) and orchestrators such as Kubernetes (Azure AKS and AWS EKS, ECS)
Linux operating systems administration and deployments at scale (Ubuntu, RedHat, Alpine), including SSH, SFTP, filesystems, user access management, storage.
• Relational databases such as MySQL, including Azure MySQL and AWS RDS Aurora, including replication, high-availability, backups, disaster recovery, access management.
• Solid understanding of Web application firewalls and CDN, such as Akamai, AWS cloudfront or Azure CDN.
• Good understanding of the SMTP protocol and email technologies, such as AWS SES and Twilio Sendgrid, Sendmail.
• Strong emphasis on security principles, best practices, including encryption (TLS), access and identity management, authentication.
• Good understanding of the following technologies: web servers (Nginx, apache), caching (varnish, redis, memcached), application load/stress testing.
• Experience with financial operations on public cloud providers – resource right-sizing, resources cost optimization and budget planning.
• Understanding and knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies (such as Agile software development, rapid prototyping and DevOps).
• Understanding and knowledge of IT standards and controls.
• Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization and in English.
• Experience having worked in a global environment and with virtual teams.
