Job Description
General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking skilled Shipyard Tradespeople to join our Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Offering up to $34.00 per hour plus overtime, this role provides the opportunity to work on cutting-edge submarine construction projects for the U.S. Navy. Our shipyard is easily accessible from Providence and Newport via Route 4, with free employee parking and shuttle options available.

As a Shipyard Tradesperson, you will work within a team of welders, pipefitters, electricians, and metal fabricators to build and assemble submarine components to the highest quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities
• Perform skilled fabrication, assembly, or repair tasks on submarine structures and systems
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and shipyard machinery safely
• Work in confined spaces, on scaffolding, and in various shipyard environments
• Collaborate with supervisors and inspectors to ensure compliance with project specifications
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in all work areas

Requirements
• Legal authorisation to work in the USA (visa sponsorship considered for highly skilled candidates)
• Relevant trade experience or completion of an apprenticeship in welding, fabrication, electrical, or mechanical fields
• Ability to work in physically demanding shipyard conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Willingness to work overtime and varied shifts as needed
