Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef specializing in Italian cuisine to join our culinary team in Cairo, Egypt. As a key member of our kitchen leadership, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional Italian dining experiences to our guests.

Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring high-quality food preparation
Create and execute authentic Italian dishes, blending traditional techniques with innovative approaches
Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and goal-oriented work environment
Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and health regulations
Contribute to menu development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends
Manage inventory, control food costs, and minimize waste
Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation across all dishes
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to enhance overall guest satisfaction
Participate in kitchen maintenance and cleanliness efforts

Qualifications

Culinary degree or equivalent experience in Italian cuisine
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role
Strong knowledge of traditional and contemporary Italian culinary techniques
Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
Proficiency in kitchen management software and inventory control systems
Up-to-date food safety certification
Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Passion for culinary innovation and staying current with industry trends
Fluency in English; knowledge of Italian language is a plus
