Job Description:
Averitt Express is looking for Part-Time Dock Workers in Jackson, MS to support freight operations at our regional warehouse terminal. This position offers a great opportunity for students or those seeking supplemental income with a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely handle freight on loading docks
Sort and stage freight based on destination
Assist drivers with loading and unloading trailers
Ensure proper labeling and tracking of shipments
Use scanners and lifting equipment as required
Requirements:
18 years of age or older
Reliable transportation and flexible schedule availability
Physically able to handle repetitive lifting and standing
Forklift experience is a plus but not required
Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
