Job Description:
National Delivery Systems is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for its Norfolk, VA location. This role involves material handling in a busy freight environment and supports our time-sensitive regional delivery network.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move pallets and freight
Load/unload trucks in a safe and timely manner
Verify shipment documentation and freight conditions
Perform routine equipment checks and report issues
Maintain cleanliness and organization in dock and storage areas
Requirements:
Valid forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Minimum 1 year of forklift experience in a warehouse setting
Ability to work flexible shifts and meet physical demands
Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards
Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
