Job Description
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Night Floor Supervisor, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Consistently offer professional, engaging and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues
Treat each and every Guest as a unique individual
Anticipate Guests’ needs with thoughtful and personal touches.
Resolve Guest problems and never saying “no” without offering an alternative
Be an ambassador for the Brand, Hotel, Community and Colleagues.
Be guided by Fairmont core values; respect, integrity, teamwork and empowerment
Attend housekeeping office before start of shift to obtain information regarding special requests or special attention guests
Provide turn down service to all Fairmont Gold, Suites, VIP and FPC member rooms, as well as refreshing requests for other rooms
Ensure proper service is provide to guests, ensuring bed mats, water, ice and slippers are placed in FG,VIP, FPC rooms
Ensure refresh service includes replacement of amenities and towels and straightening of personal items
Place any other amenities in designated rooms as directed
Report any room discrepancies or maintenance issues
Record any rooms unable to service, placing card under door and reporting information to Housekeeping Office
Sign out in Housekeeping Office, returning keys, and room assignment sheet
Strict adherence to all Health & Safety training, guidelines and work practices previous, during and following an epidemic (whether local or global) that are established by Accor, local government, international bodies including the World Health Organization (WHO) and Center for disease control (CDC).
Perform any other duties, tasks, and assignments within your department as required.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Previous housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel environment is an asset
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Must possess a strong work ethic and be able to work efficiently in a demanding, fast paced environment
Must be physically fit and have the ability to stand, lift, push and pull for long periods during shift
Ability to work well under pressure
Knowledge of all hotel facilities and surrounding area is an asset
Additional Information
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
Walking, standing, bending, pushing and pulling anywhere from 2 – 6 hours a day.
Does not lift weights exceeding 25 lbs.
Requires constant repetitive motion.
Environmental stress is high – work in extreme weather conditions, high noise level and utilize hazardous machinery.
