Job Description:
Switch is seeking a Critical Systems Engineer to ensure uninterrupted power, cooling, and infrastructure support at its flagship data center in Las Vegas. This role is ideal for technically skilled engineers with experience in critical infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor, maintain, and optimize mechanical and electrical infrastructure systems
Respond to alerts and incidents impacting power, cooling, or connectivity
Coordinate repairs and emergency responses with vendors and internal staff
Perform infrastructure audits and system capacity analysis
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety procedures
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field
3+ years of experience in critical facilities or data center operations
Strong knowledge of UPS, HVAC, fire suppression, and power distribution
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Must be available for emergency response and system support
