Job Description:
NXP Semiconductors is seeking a skilled and innovative Process Engineer to join our high-volume manufacturing facility in Austin, TX. The successful candidate will support process development, yield improvement, and continuous optimization of semiconductor fabrication technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, monitor, and improve semiconductor process modules (etch, lithography, diffusion, etc.)
Analyze process data and implement changes to improve yield and reduce defects
Work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, and equipment engineering teams
Troubleshoot process issues and provide real-time support to manufacturing
Document procedures and contribute to process control plans
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
2+ years of semiconductor process experience in a fab environment
Strong data analysis skills using tools such as JMP, Excel, or Python
Familiarity with SPC, DOE, and cleanroom practices
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
