Job Description:
NXP Semiconductors is hiring an experienced Equipment Maintenance Technician to support tool uptime and preventative maintenance in our 300mm semiconductor fabrication facility in Austin. This position is critical to maintaining production flow and supporting high-tech manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance on semiconductor tools (plasma etchers, ion implanters, CMP, etc.)
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
Follow cleanroom protocols and adhere to EHS standards
Log maintenance activities and communicate equipment status to engineering
Support continuous improvement initiatives for tool availability and reliability
Requirements:
Associate degree in electronics, mechatronics, or related technical field preferred
1+ year of hands-on maintenance experience in semiconductor, electronics, or manufacturing
Ability to read schematics and interpret technical documentation
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and teamwork skills
Willingness to work in a cleanroom on a compressed shift schedule
