Job Description:
The Greenbrier Companies is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to support railcar product development and design improvements at our Lake Oswego headquarters. This is an exciting opportunity for engineers who want to contribute to innovative freight transportation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and analyze railcar components and systems
Create detailed engineering drawings and documentation
Collaborate with manufacturing and field service teams
Conduct testing and validation of materials and components
Ensure compliance with AAR and industry standards
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
2+ years of experience in mechanical design or product development
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
Knowledge of structural analysis and materials engineering
Excellent attention to detail and project management abilities
