Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Purchasing Supervisor to join our team in Baghdad, Iraq. In this role, you will oversee and coordinate all purchasing activities, ensuring optimal procurement strategies and cost-effective operations while maintaining high-quality standards.

Manage and coordinate all purchasing activities, including vendor selection, negotiation, and order placement
Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to develop and implement cost-saving initiatives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and fulfill departmental purchasing needs
Oversee inventory management and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
Prepare and maintain accurate purchasing records, reports, and documentation
Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards
Train and mentor junior purchasing staff to improve team performance
Evaluate and implement new procurement technologies and processes to enhance efficiency
Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and maintain strong supplier relationships
Stay informed about local and international procurement regulations and practices


Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices
Familiarity with procurement software and inventory management systems
Knowledge of local procurement regulations and practices in Iraq
Familiarity with international trade and customs procedures
