Job Description:
Island Self Storage is hiring a Facility Maintenance Assistant to help with upkeep and basic repairs at our Portsmouth, RI property. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who enjoys working independently and maintaining clean, functional spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform light repairs including painting, bulb replacement, and door maintenance
Maintain landscaping and clear debris around property
Clean units and ensure grounds are neat and presentable
Support site manager with inspections and customer move-outs
Report larger maintenance needs to external contractors or management
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
General handyman or facility maintenance experience a plus
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical outdoor tasks
Basic tool handling and safety knowledge
Dependable, proactive, and customer-friendly
