ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our healthcare nutrition team as the Regional Manager - Specialist Team (Hospital and Community). This exciting 12-month fixed-term contract role, based in Melbourne, involves leading high-performing regional Field Force teams across Victoria, South Australia, and Western Australia. You will develop robust regional plans with clear cycle focus and objectives to drive key therapeutic area strategies, and enhance these strategies based on gathered insights while positively influencing internal stakeholders.
Your key areas of accountability are:
Territory Management: Develop regional goals and objectives, maintain knowledge of tenders and contracts, identify and report risks and opportunities, review and report performance quarterly, and monitor field teams' business plans based on KPIs
Team Management: Manage and coach the team of Product Specialists and Key Account Managers, develop team competencies, lead change processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance performance in key accounts.
Customer Focus: Understand the regional customer landscape to identify business opportunities and consolidate team insights to develop and enhance the National Specialist Field Force and Healthcare Nutrition strategies
Collaboration and Networking: Engage and build effective partnerships with local stakeholders, understand Healthcare Professional attitudes and behaviors, collaborate on field strategies with relevant internal teams to enhance our execution strategies.
Specialised knowledge: Maintain a high level of product knowledge to ensure the ability to understand and explain product and service information with key stakeholders (HCPs, KOLs, etc) directly and to coach direct reports in doing so
Healthcare Systems & Market: Identify and analyse regional opportunities and issues, monitor local market trends and competitor activity, and ensure compliance with Danone policies and regulations
About you
You are an experienced Sales Manager who has worked in the healthcare nutrition, med device or pharmaceutical sector. Your passion for driving innovative solutions and fostering strong industry relationships sets you apart. You excel at building and nurturing high-performing teams, always striving to exceed expectations and deliver exceptional results. Your ability to inspire and lead makes you a valuable asset in any dynamic environment.
Ideally, you will have:
Previous healthcare sales Management and/or key account management experience (nutrition /dietetics desirable)
Registered Healthcare Professional, dietitian or similar tertiary qualifications (desirable)
2+ years’ experience in team management
Strong commercial acumen and demonstrated business planning skills, ideally in a regulated environment
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency in IT systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with a good understanding of Power BI and the ability to adapt to new systems
Willingness to travel to SA and WA as and when needed
