Your ‘day to day’:
Define and manage factory training strategies and activities to enhance Operations performance and develop employee competencies in alignment with QMS requirements.
Design and implement Continuous Improvement (CI) training paths and initiatives to equip the organization with the knowledge needed to improve and sustain factory performance.
Ensure training aligns with production plans by maintaining adequate manned capacity.
Develop and integrate safety guidelines into technical training programs to meet legal and company requirements, minimizing risk of incidents and safeguarding employees and assets.
Stay current with technological modifications in production equipment and ensure training tools are aligned with factory machinery and processes.
Lead, organize, and motivate the training team to ensure high-quality performance, professional development, and career growth.
Maintain appropriate staffing levels to support multiple manufacturing streams and continuously enhance team output and effectiveness.
Develop hiring plans, assessment criteria, and training strategies based on gaps identified in the site's qualification matrix, ensuring alignment with short- and long-term factory needs.
Provide adequate reporting to support successful manufacturing start-up and ongoing operations.
Formulate a technical training framework aligned with Operational and HR policies, QMS, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure synergy between training programs across production streams to support an agile manufacturing environment.
Support Operations Managers in ensuring employee qualification meets factory standards.
Oversee the development, preparation, and delivery of technical training programs, ensuring adaptation to new technologies and alignment with production demands.
Guarantee timely, cost-effective execution of training and make informed “make or buy” decisions regarding training solutions.
Ensure all personnel released to production are fully certified and qualified for their roles.
Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess training effectiveness and compliance with QMS.
Design and lead CI training strategies and deployment of improvement initiatives to elevate factory performance over time.
Develop and manage the department’s annual budget, ensuring expenses align with budgetary guidelines and PMI financial policies.
Promote and enforce PMI standards on quality, environment, health, and safety.
Identify and report risk situations to mitigate personnel and environmental impacts.
Ensure all team members and contractors comply with sustainability policies, procedures, and applicable laws
Who we’re looking for:
MUST BE: Local to Wilson, NC
MUST BE: Legally Authorized to work in the US without current or future sponsorship
Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Management or equivalent education
5+ years experience in production area, training, quality within FMCG, pharmaceutical or similar industry of which at least 3 years in a managerial role
