Job Description:
J.H. Fletcher & Co., a leading manufacturer of underground mining equipment, is hiring a Mechanical Assembler in Huntington, WV. This role is ideal for candidates with a mechanical background who are skilled at interpreting blueprints and assembling complex machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble heavy equipment parts using mechanical tools and shop equipment
Read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions
Install hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
Perform quality checks and report inconsistencies or defects
Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing preferred
Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics
Experience with hand tools and power tools
Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
