Job Description:
Bath Iron Works is hiring Structural Welders to support the fabrication and construction of U.S. Navy destroyers. This role is critical in delivering high-quality welds that meet stringent military and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
– Perform MIG, TIG, and flux core arc welding on steel ship structures
– Interpret welding blueprints, schematics, and specifications
– Use grinders, torches, and other tools to prep and finish welds
– Comply with quality control processes and safety procedures
Requirements:
– High school diploma or GED
– Previous welding experience or completion of a recognized welding program
– Ability to pass a hands-on weld test and obtain required certifications
– Willingness to work in confined spaces and at heights
