Job Description:
Allison Transmission is hiring Assembly Operators to support production of advanced automatic transmissions at its state-of-the-art facility in Indianapolis. This is a hands-on manufacturing role with long-term growth and training opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
– Assemble mechanical and electronic transmission components using tools and machinery
– Follow detailed blueprints, work instructions, and quality procedures
– Perform visual and mechanical inspections during and after assembly
– Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation
Requirements:
– High school diploma or GED required
– 1+ year of manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience preferred
– Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
– Strong attention to detail and teamwork
