Your 'day to day'

As a Team leader Material Quality, you will supervise and develop the team as well as lead, plan, organize and control Material Quality and Specification activities with CSO to support Operations and other relevant departments in a timely and accurate manner. You will also ensure that all activities are performed in accordance with PMI Requirements and Quality Systems by consistently applying OPEN+ systems and tools.


More specifically, you'll

Foster strong partnerships with suppliers to maintain high DIMs quality and enhance their performance, impacting product quality, machine efficiency, and production costs
Regularly evaluate supplier performance, proactively engaging key suppliers and tackling any performance declines
Ensure timely raising and investigation of non-conformities, blocking products when necessary
Approve or reject non-conformities at your level
Identify, prioritize, and develop action plans for CAPAIA and quality improvement opportunities to support continuous improvement
Review and approve CAPAIA within your department
Assist with factory and supplier quality audits
Implement effective processes for testing new materials, special packaging projects, and cigarettes/RRP prototyping as requested by Product Development, Supply Chain, Production, or other partners
Manage process changes as needed
Review and approve tests, protocols, reports, and QMS-related documents
Support manufacturing to enhance DIMs performance, impacting product quality, machine efficiency, and production costs
Establish data and trend analysis on DIM performance to identify and implement improvement opportunities
Provide timely support for quality issues with DIMs, offering action plans and solutions to minimize negative impacts on production KPIs
Coordinate and supervise the preparation, issuance, and maintenance of manufacturing specifications to ensure compliance with PMI requirements
Collaborate closely with the Central Spec Office team for optimal results in the specs creation process
Ensure the effective creation and updating of the Master Batch Record (MBR)
Verify the accuracy and availability of the document for the production team as needed


Who we’re looking for

University Degree in Biological sciences, Physical sciences, Chemistry, Material, Engineering or equivalent
2-3 years experience in quality assurance in tobacco, food, pharmaceutical or similar industry
Advanced knowledge of International standards (ISO)
Knowledge on pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry regulations would be considered as an additional asset
Project Management and Change Management skills
Attention to detail and a natural willingness to challenge the status quo
Capacity to mentor and develop you team to meet stretching requirements in high-paced environment
Proven track record of working collaboratively and influencing individuals at all levels
Demonstrated ability to drive execution and deal with ambiguity
Proficiency in English and French, both written and oral
