Job Description:
Gulf Coast Refining is seeking Refinery Operators for its Houston facility near the Ship Channel. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in petroleum refining, chemical plants, or heavy industry environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate refinery process units through control systems and field checks
Monitor temperature, pressure, and flow readings
Perform product sampling and lab communication
Respond to alarms and troubleshoot process issues
Document shift activities and participate in safety meetings
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in refining, petrochemical, or related industry
Basic understanding of DCS systems and refinery operations
Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance
TWIC card and basic safety certifications preferred
High school diploma or technical training
