Job Description:
Domtar is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to support operations at its Ashdown pulp mill, one of the largest in North America. This position ensures safe and continuous operation of all electrical systems within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance and repair of motors, drives, control systems
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults and equipment issues
Read and interpret electrical schematics and documentation
Work with PLCs, HMIs, and motor control centers (MCCs)
Support emergency breakdowns and preventative maintenance
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
5+ years of industrial electrical experience
Knowledge of NFPA 70E and Lockout/Tagout safety procedures
Experience with paper/pulp or process manufacturing a plus
Strong teamwork and communication skills
