Job Description:
Elite Dining Group is seeking a Sous Chef for one of its high-end restaurants in New York City. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations, maintaining food quality, and assisting the Executive Chef in daily restaurant management.
Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and execution of high-quality, seasonal menus
Supervise kitchen staff and ensure food is prepared to restaurant standards
Oversee inventory management, food costing, and supplier relations
Ensure food safety compliance and maintain kitchen cleanliness
Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or similar role
Strong knowledge of gourmet cuisine, plating, and presentation
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
Strong leadership and communication skills
