Your ‘day to day’

Environment, Health and Safety

Act as role model of safety leadership.
Ensure the translation of the company policy with regard to health and safety into procedures and instructions for the engineering department.
Monitor the implementation in such a way that affiliate will always comply with the legal requirements and that an acceptable level of safety is guaranteed to employees and company properties.
Ensure that in effecting engineering activities, all environmental requirements are met. Lead and contribute to implementation of environmental friendly initiatives.
Comply with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, PMI QMS, AWS, requirements.
Management Arrangements

Develop, implement and monitor the EHS management system and programs.
Continually search for improvements to protect people from injury and occupational illnesses, the environment from damage, the business from unnecessary losses, based on company EHS Principles and Practices and applicable regulatory requirements.
Ensure that procedures are appropriated to the risk profile of the factory and accepted; the responsibilities are understood; and the programs are supported.
Ensure consistent and straightforward communication and replication from any sources of learning (such as accidents, audits, benchmarking and so on).

Risk Management

Execute a proactive loss prevention program including risk management (identification, assessment, and control), inspections, audits, and emergency planning, by monitoring their implementation, in order to eliminate or reduce health, safety and environmental risks to an acceptable level.
Keep abreast with the latest Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental regulatory requirement and the latest technology on the prevention, control, in order to give advice and direction to the organization in meeting legal and company requirement. Ensure contractors compliance with EHS legal and PMI minimum requirements.
Collaborate with the company medical doctor to ensure that potential workplace health issues are identified and dealt with. Be the professional reference for PPE and working tool selection.
Technical knowledge of machines, LOTO, machine interlocks, emergency equipment (Fire extinguishers, hydrants, SCBA, etc.),
Knowledge regarding Legal requirements applicable

Training

Develop and implement EHS training modules, by analyzing the training needs, and maintaining training records of employees, contractors and visitors, to ensure they fully understand the EHS aspects of their job and responsibilities.
Continuously improve EHS trainings based on feedback and emerging needs.


Performance and Reporting

Provide timely reporting of EHS performance indicators to factory management, cluster/region and EHS department at OC, by ensuring the data is updated and accurate, to ensure reliability of the information.


Projects

Participate in EHS projects, by providing clarity on the integration of EHS requirements in the design, construction/installation and commissioning of new and/or revamped buildings, engineering works, machinery, and equipment.
Monitor the technical certification of all new equipment brought into the factory, to eliminate or reduce risks and comply with legal requirements.
Coordinate programs to reduce waste and emissions and minimize use of energy and natural resources, by supervising and analyzing current usage and outputs with relevant departments highlighting areas for improvement, to achieve environmental key performance indicators and achieve continual improvement.


Incident Management and Emergency Preparedness

Coordinate the accident investigation, analysis, and reporting and maintain records of all incident/accident information accordingly, to allow EHS Department and Management to identify basic causes and take actions to prevent the incident to occur again. Implement and test emergency preparedness program to minimize losses due emergency incident (as per PMI definition).


Performance Improvement

Support the EHS projects on the identification of the needs, weaknesses and/or emerging issues and propose solutions to improve EHS performance and to achieve EHS objectives and targets.
Participate to affiliate budget exercise through the development of projects and resources needed to close legal gaps, non-compliances and Sustainability improvement needs; supervise a greed projects execution.


Who we’re looking for

University degree in Engineering. Major in Sustainability (Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environment Engineering) subjects will be preferred.
4-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a detailed understanding of legal requirements and applicable standards (e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 45001, AWS ISO 50001).
Fluent English, Local language knowledge is an asset.
PC literate (Word, Excel, Ppt).
ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 knowledge.
NEBOSH certifications
