Job Description:
Tesco is looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join its distribution team, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods to Tesco stores across the UK. This role is ideal for experienced HGV drivers seeking a stable job with great benefits in the logistics sector.
Responsibilities:
Transport goods from Tesco distribution centres to stores
Load and unload deliveries efficiently, ensuring proper handling of stock
Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness
Comply with Tesco’s safety and compliance regulations, including tachograph laws
Complete delivery logs and maintain accurate documentation
Work flexibly, including night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays
Qualifications:
Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) license
Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
Tachograph card (Digital Tacho Card)
Minimum 1 year of experience as an HGV driver (preferred)
Strong understanding of UK road transport regulations
Good time management and ability to work independently
