Job Description:
Icelandic Fisheries Ltd. is seeking Deckhands / Fishermen to work on commercial fishing vessels operating in the North Atlantic. This job is ideal for those who are physically fit, hardworking, and looking for a high-paying opportunity in the fishing industry. No prior experience is required, as full training is provided.
Responsibilities:
Assist in deploying and retrieving fishing gear (nets, longlines, traps)
Sort, clean, and store the catch in refrigerated compartments
Operate and maintain fishing equipment and machinery
Work on deck in challenging weather conditions
Follow strict safety protocols and onboard procedures
Help with cleaning and maintenance of the vessel
Qualifications:
No prior fishing experience required – training provided
Physically fit and able to work long shifts (12+ hours)
Comfortable working in cold and rough sea conditions
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Basic English communication skills (Icelandic is a plus)
Previous experience in fishing or maritime industries is an advantage
