Marathon Petroleum is looking for Entry-Level Refinery Operators at its Garyville Refinery. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a career in the refining industry with on-the-job training and career advancement opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Monitor refinery processes and operating conditions
Operate valves, pumps, and process control equipment
Perform routine safety checks and emergency response drills
Maintain detailed records of production performance and equipment status
Assist in shutdowns, turnarounds, and routine maintenance activities
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required (Technical certification preferred)
No prior experience required – Training provided
Willingness to work 12-hour shifts in a physically demanding environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and physical exam
