Job Description:
General Motors Oshawa is seeking experienced Forklift Operators to support production and logistics operations within our manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for moving materials efficiently, ensuring the smooth flow of inventory to and from the production line.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently
Transport parts and raw materials between production areas
Load and unload trucks while following proper safety protocols
Conduct routine equipment checks and report maintenance issues
Maintain an organized warehouse and adhere to inventory control procedures
Work closely with production teams to ensure material availability
Requirements:
Valid forklift certification (Raymond Reach, Counterbalance preferred)
Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime when required
Strong understanding of workplace safety and material handling procedures
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
