Job Description: The Mechanical Journeyperson (Toolmaker) is responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial machinery, including motors, generators, air compressors, and more. This role requires a high level of technical expertise to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance on industrial machinery such as shafting, motors, generators, air compressors, engines, pumps, cylinders, gears, couplings, linkages, ball screws, and high-speed spindles.
Utilize precision measuring instruments and hand tools to diagnose issues.
Collaborate with other maintenance staff and production teams to ensure minimal downtime.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Qualifications:
Completion of a recognized apprenticeship as a Toolmaker or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work overtime and flexible shifts as required.
