Position Overview:

As a Transport Planner, you will oversee the inbound and outbound transportation operations within the plant, ensuring the seamless and cost-effective movement of goods. Your role will be crucial in optimizing transport planning, coordinating with logistics providers, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
You will work closely with warehouse teams, suppliers, and external transport providers to enhance operational efficiency and support business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Transportation Management: Coordinate daily inbound and outbound transport activities, ensuring timely deliveries and optimal service.
Cost Optimization: Plan transport operations to minimize costs while maintaining excellent service standards.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all transport activities comply with Nestlé’s SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) standards and local transport regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections.
Collaboration: Work alongside warehouse and production teams to align transport schedules with operational requirements.
Performance Monitoring: Track transport performance (e.g., on-time delivery, cost per trip, carrier efficiency), identify areas for improvement, and implement cost-saving measures.
Documentation & Tracking: Ensure accurate record-keeping of shipments, invoices, and compliance documents to avoid delays and discrepancies.
What Will Make You Successful:
Education & Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations.
Experience with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and freight management systems.
Core Skills & Knowledge:
Strong understanding of transport planning and fleet management.
Familiarity with SHE regulations related to transport operations.
Proficiency in SAP for transport and logistics functions.
Ability to analyze transportation cost drivers and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and coordination skills, ensuring smooth collaboration with various teams.
