Malta International Airport plc is looking for an experienced and dynamic individual who is passionate about working with people within an Airport environment, is willing to continuously learn, develop, and be part of a high-performance culture. This vacancy has arisen within the Technical Facilities Department.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Lead a small team of people responsible for CMMS back-of-house administration and maintenance.
Set up and maintain preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all essential aerodrome systems and assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and reducing unplanned downtime.
Monitor maintenance trends, analyze system data, and recommend process improvements or equipment replacements based on reliability and performance insights.
Create reports on asset performance, work order completion rates, preventive maintenance adherence, and downtime, providing actionable insights for management.
Customize CMMS settings, workflows, and templates to match the specific needs of the aerodrome facility and streamline maintenance activities.
Support with the implementation of rigorous quality assurance protocols to verify that maintenance tasks meet the specified performance criteria and function as intended.

General Responsibilities

Ensure adherence to operational, security, and health & safety regulations for all works carried out at MIA.
Be available on-call for operational and emergency needs.
Promote a customer-focused and environmentally conscious culture within the department.
Develop positive relationships with staff, contractors, and airport users.
Propose efficiency improvements and assist in training new employees.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
Strong understanding of MEP systems and relevant industry standards.
Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with sustainability measures in engineering projects.
Proficiency in preparing technical documentation and cost estimations.
Willingness to attend training and work in a dynamic, operationally critical environment.
