Junior External Communications Specialist (1 yr contract)

This is a full-time temporary (1 year contract) position, with a hybrid working model and we aim to hire as soon as possible the new external comms colleague to be based in Hungary.

As our Junior External Communications Specialist, your main responsibility will be to build and maintain the external media, with a focus on digital/social media relations, to organize external media events, as well as to identify media opportunities and support the business in crisis situations.


Your main responsibilities:

• Support media relations
• Manage local media relations & cultivate strong media relationships
• Develop press events, materials for the media, on and offline for Danone Company and their brands
• Lead and nourish the company digital media presence connected to corporate communication
Identify media opportunities, set up interviews with senior leadership
• Support and promote Danone Company’s global and local initiatives
• Top management media training and coaching
Effectively prepare with PR agency the local top management for media training
• Sensitive & crisis communication
• Provide support, advice & content to local management team on sensitive & crisis communication (press release, Q&A, etc.)
• On and off-line monitoring
• Monitor closely media and digital /SoMe on and offline related to relevant topics for the companies, build relevant reports & highlight to management sensitive issues
• External events
• Promote and organize external events to support Danone Company’s reputation
• Strategy insight and planning
• Take part in CEE Corporate plan planning by proposing external communication actions and correspondent budget for Hungary in order to achieve strategic business priorities
• Reputation measurement


ABOUT YOU

What you need to be successful:

• Good communications skills with strong digital communication capabilities and also with strong abilities to influence and convince media stakeholders;
• Ability to build efficient & coherent messages in an attractive form for the media (traditional & digital/SoMe)
• Ability to deliver simple and compelling messages on complex topics
• Fluency in Hungarian and English
2-3 years in PR / both Digital and External Communication
• Have a University Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or any other related field.
