IT Program Manager (Asset Management)

Position Overview:
This role will be responsible for the health of the IT Asset Management program by ensuring all employees, staff, and contractors know, understand, and follow our ITAM requirements and behave in a manner that supports ITAM program health. The individual will have the overall responsibility for maintaining the ITAM program and will also be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of techniques and resources. We are looking for a candidate with experience in IT Asset Management for various asset classes.  

What You’ll Do for Us:
• Managing the day-to-day activities of the process; ensuring operating procedures are documented to support the activities;
• Defines business requirements with the Process Owner and Process Analyst​;
• Assists Process/Capability Owner with the design of target processes​;
• Maintaining the AMDB System, including the data model, relationships, and platform updates;
• Assigning approved Change or Problem tasks to Asset owners for execution;
• Coordinating interfaces between ITAM and other processes;
• Ensuring that all operational services (and those being prepared) are recorded within the AMDB;
• Ensuring that all information within the AMDB is accurate and up to date;
• Monitoring, measuring, and reporting on compliance with the ITAM and related cross-functional processes (operational/tactical);
• Translate ambiguous issues into actionable items.


Qualification & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• ITIL SACM Certification (additional disciplines preferred)
CITAM Certification.
• Knowledge of and experience with ITAM or CAASM tools and processes, particularly Axonius.
• 7+ years of IT experience in information technology with a focus on IT Asset Management
• Familiarity with Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall project management methodologies
• Basic understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, Cloud services, endpoint protection, CAASM, and Cybersecurity
• Understanding of data models and elements related to all asset classes in a comprehensive ITAM program.

Functional Skills:
• Demonstrates understanding and use of basic project management methodologies, including the ability to plan, manage and maintain a complex, organization-wide program over the longer term.
• Ability to form complex communications/messages in a simple, clear, and concise manner to the various communities within our organization. This can include different cultures, nationalities, international locations, and languages.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels within the organization, including both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Understanding of the concepts of IT Asset Management and the different elements that make up ITAM.
• Resilience and flexibility to explore different paths to achieve an outcome and adjust quickly and efficiently to new circumstances and measured results.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel, including advanced Excel functions.
